Position Summary
In your role as a Preconstruction Manager - Substation, you will champion a robust safety culture among employees, vendors, and customers, strictly adhering to all safety and environmental regulations. Your responsibilities will include conducting site visits to assess access, layout, and constructability in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
You will play a pivotal role in identifying project risks, determining the most effective construction methodologies, sequencing, and schedules. Additionally, you will contribute to estimating meetings by developing and validating labor, equipment, and production rates for high-voltage substation construction activities.
This position also supports estimating efforts by providing comprehensive insights regarding manpower, equipment, procurement strategies, outage requirements, and temporary facilities essential for the successful completion of large-scale substation projects. Collaboration with Superintendents, General Foremen, and Foremen will be key to ensuring efficient planning of work, crew deployment, tools, and equipment, thereby minimizing mobilization time. You will work closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers to align scope, update schedules, and facilitate project execution readiness.
