We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English ESL Teacher to join our esteemed private primary school in Chengdu. This full-time role will commence with the upcoming 2025/2026 academic year.
About Our School
Nestled in the heart of Wuhou District, our distinguished private school is strategically located between the third and fourth ring roads of Chengdu. We pride ourselves on offering a rich and diverse educational program for children aged 6 to 15. Our institution comprises two main divisions: a primary school for grades one through five and a middle school for grades six through nine. We focus on delivering a comprehensive education to students from first to seventh grade, catering to the developmental needs of learners aged 6 to 13.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective English (ESL) lessons to primary school students in grades 1 to 7.
- Design and prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments while providing personalized tutoring techniques.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance and develop the school’s curriculum.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, setting achievable targets to ensure their success and continuous improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and their families, fostering strong communication.
- Create a supportive and safe learning environment conducive to student growth.
- Teach a maximum of 20 English classes per week, scheduled from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in education or a related field.
- Exceptional English communication skills.
- Minimum TESOL/TESL/TEFL certification required.
- At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably with students aged 6 to 15.
