Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and nurture a team within the motion planning organization, overseeing planning algorithm development and constraint generation.
Collaborate with other leaders to set technical direction, making critical architectural decisions, managing resource allocation, executing operational plans, and addressing technical debt.
Develop a robust and scalable planner, ensuring safety is prioritized throughout the design, prototyping, testing, deployment, and production processes.
Utilize a metrics-driven approach for the development and enhancement of technical components.
Enhance existing planning methodologies to support data-driven strategies.
Advocate for diversity and inclusion within both the products and the team.
Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to team members, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
Show initiative in generating innovative ideas, formulating a clear team vision, and considering the holistic robotaxi system.
Implement and review algorithms and code, applying stringent engineering methodologies.
Work alongside project managers to create roadmaps and execute plans timely.
Qualifications:
Over two years of experience managing a development team, with a proven track record of facilitating career growth and enhancing team productivity.
Master's or PhD in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
