Role
We are in search of a Principal Software Development Engineer to become a pivotal member of our AI Security Team, presenting an opportunity to develop a high-reliability, low-latency AI security solution designed to scale for millions of users. In this role, reporting directly to the Director of Software Development Engineering, you will be tasked with designing and implementing essential infrastructure components and distributed systems while collaborating with various stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle. This hybrid role requires attendance at our San Jose, CA office three days a week.
What You’ll Do (Role Expectations)
- Architect, develop, and optimize a low-latency, high-throughput AI Security plane utilizing Rust, leveraging its async/await model for highly efficient I/O and service-oriented architecture.
- Build resilient, distributed, and scalable systems with a focus on concurrency, fault tolerance, and robust messaging protocols.
- Implement and maintain gRPC services and APIs to facilitate seamless integration of the AI Security plane with control systems.
