Qualifications
What You’ll Do:
Negotiate and assess complex data processing agreements (DPAs) with enterprise clients and vendors, including managing intricate redlines.
Deliver actionable privacy insights to cross-functional teams, encompassing product, engineering, marketing, and business units, to guarantee compliance with GDPR and other global data protection laws.
Advise on legal and regulatory matters related to AI, including product evaluation under the EU AI Act, and aid in the development of Datadog’s AI governance framework and privacy-by-design assessments for new products and features.
Review, draft, and maintain privacy-related contracts, templates, policies, and procedures to facilitate business operations and meet regulatory obligations.
Assist in the evaluation and management of data subject access requests (DSARs), ensuring prompt and compliant responses.
Keep abreast of emerging data protection, cybersecurity, and AI regulations, conducting gap analyses to align Datadog's practices with relevant laws.
Who You Are:
Qualified attorney with 3 to 5 years of pertinent experience in data protection, acquired at a prestigious law firm or in-house at a technology firm.
Extensive knowledge of GDPR, including cross-border data transfer mechanisms and DPA negotiation, with proven experience managing complex customer redlines independently.
Strong comprehension of AI-related regulations, including the EU AI Act, and the ability to provide guidance to product teams effectively.
