About the job
At Make-Rain, we innovate to create systems that literally make it rain. Our autonomous drone fleets and cutting-edge weather modification platform operate across the globe, expanding freshwater supplies, safeguarding agriculture, and demonstrating the efficacy of cloud seeding at scale. We are trusted by governments and private operators alike to manage their rivers, farms, and mountains.
We are seeking a skilled Product Engineer who will play a pivotal role in developing the software that drives our sales and enhances our customer relationships.
The Role
As a Product Engineer, you will lead the development of our platform that shapes the global perception of Make-Rain. This includes designing interactive campaign visualizations, geospatial dashboards, operational summaries, and proposal tools. This is a greenfield project where you will define the product and manage the technology stack, crafting the experience for every prospect and customer who interacts with our technology.
You will report directly to the engineering team and have full ownership over architectural and design decisions. This is a highly autonomous role with direct access to our CEO, COO, and the clients we serve. The solutions you create will significantly influence our contract closures.
What You'll Build
- Customer-Facing Results Portals: Create portals featuring precipitation data, flight paths, and seeding plume dispersion that is easily interpretable by diverse audiences.
- Interactive GIS Tools: Develop tools for proposals and RFPs, overlaying operational data on terrain, watersheds, and targeted areas.
- Demo Environment: Build a demo setup that enables the sales team to tell data-driven stories without needing to file engineering requests.
- Component Library & Visual Identity: Establish a cohesive visual identity and component library for all external software, ensuring consistency in our technology interface.
