About the job
At 2U, we are committed to our purpose. Our mission is to make learning limitless, and we are united by our passion for providing world-class higher education at scale. As the parent company of edX, a prominent online learning platform, 2U facilitates thousands of higher education offerings—from free courses to complete degrees. Collaborating with our college, university, and corporate partners, we are dedicated to accelerating careers and transforming lives.
What We Are Seeking:
As the Product Manager for Lifecycle Systems, you will spearhead the technical orchestration and systems development tailored for our 2U learners. You will be the chief architect of the infrastructure that underpins a learner-centric framework aimed at enhancing cross-functional alignment and fostering strategic collaboration.
Your goal is to advance beyond the current state and establish systems that cultivate a seamless, enduring relationship with our learners. You will convert the initial phase of customer expectations and metrics into verified, data-driven experiences.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Define and construct the technical connective elements between our data warehouse and our primary activation channel, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and others.
- Implement the seven-stage customer lifecycle framework, ensuring systems can accurately identify and transition customers through each lifecycle stage.
- Utilize the existing customer lifecycle shared language to minimize silos and resolve cross-functional conflicts, enabling teams to deliver optimal value to all edX learners.
- Serve as the "Command Center" for strategic metrics. You will validate and prioritize customer lifecycle metrics, assisting teams in understanding how their specific contributions (e.g., SEO or Enterprise lead funnels) align with our overarching vision of maximizing lifetime value.
- Develop the capabilities necessary for a multi-product strategy, allowing edX to pinpoint the exact moment a learner should transition to a new skill, career path, or product line.
- Collaborate with XD and Marketing leadership to confirm that the squads and systems engaged at each lifecycle stage are effective, establishing business processes for maintaining our metric "source of truth".
