Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town, South Africa. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and contribute positively to our company culture and overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough cleaning of laboratory floors and walls.
- Maintain cleanliness of laboratory furniture and equipment.
- Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware and plastics.
- Prepare and sterilize equipment as required.
- Ensure fridges and freezers are kept clean and organized.
- Manage waste bin preparation and disposal.
- Prepare required solutions (e.g., 70% EtOH).
- Organize gowning materials for lab personnel.
- Replenish Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) stations.
- Assist in stock cycle counts and inventory management.
- Conduct housekeeping duties within the manufacturing labs.
- Label and manually package components as needed.
- Facilitate movement of consumables, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Support administrative tasks such as printing and filing.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess a Grade 12 certificate and have at least 2 years of experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.
Required Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a laboratory environment is advantageous.
