Due to our ongoing expansion, we are excited to invite applications for the role of Production Engineer at our Luton and Peterlee sites.
Position Overview:
We seek a highly skilled Production Engineer with extensive experience in the Pharmaceutical or related industries. Initially, this role will be offered on a rolling contract basis, with the potential for a permanent position in the future. You will be responsible for meticulous planning and execution of maintenance activities to optimize productivity. Collaboration with various departments to achieve production goals while ensuring compliance with MHRA and cGMP standards is a key aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage maintenance requirements and liaise with internal departments to fulfill production needs.
- Conduct and document preventive maintenance activities.
- Address daily breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance tasks.
- Execute repairs and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Support qualification, calibration, and validation activities.
- Contribute to new project execution.
- Perform complete tooling changeovers and set up machines in accordance with quality standards.
- Optimize changeover times, on-floor productivity, and machine efficiency.
- Maintain breakdown records and daily activity logs.
- Monitor and manage inventory of tooling changeover parts.
Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of a Science degree with a specialization in Engineering/Technology.
- Significant experience in a similar role within a pharmaceutical GMP-compliant environment.
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels and navigate cultural differences with ease.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize a busy workload to meet deadlines.
