Production Engineer in Audio Electronics Manufacturing
Location: High Wycombe / Hybrid
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £44,000 - £50,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
Are you enthusiastic about creating exceptional products? Do you possess a technical or engineering degree and/or experience in the music technology manufacturing sector? We are seeking talented engineers to contribute to the development and manufacturing of cutting-edge audio interfaces, MIDI controllers, groove boxes, and synthesizers.
As a member of our Production Engineering team, integrated within the broader Engineering division, you will facilitate communication across various engineering disciplines. Your responsibilities will include managing Design for Manufacturing data (Electronics & Mechanical Designs, Bill of Materials, Quality Documents, etc.) and offering direct engineering assistance to our external contract manufacturers in both the UK and Far East. There are opportunities available to visit our partner factories abroad to provide on-site engineering support.
You will collaborate within a dynamic, people-centered, multi-functional design and engineering team, focusing on new product development and the continuous enhancement of our production methodologies and tools for Focusrite and Novation products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a growing Engineering team alongside Electronics, Firmware, Mechanical Design, and Quality Assurance to support our New Product Introduction (NPI) Programme and ongoing mass production of Focusrite and Novation products.
- Ensure that the data shared with our contract manufacturers and sub-contractors is of the highest quality and is presented clearly.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within our PLM system.
- Generate and communicate engineering change orders (ECOs) to the factories.
- Conduct cost analysis of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Prepare product cost reports for key stakeholders.
- Investigate new manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.
- Coordinate the prototype and pre-production build process at the factories.
- Manage relationships with component and PCB suppliers in the UK and overseas.
- Submit new products for regulatory certifications and approvals in accordance with our established guidelines.
