The Production Scheduler is pivotal in streamlining daily operations for specific SKUs in both injection molding and extrusion molding processes. This role encompasses comprehensive materials management within the designated area, focusing on effective planning, scheduling, capacity management, procurement, logistics, and inventory control. Key objectives include optimizing inventory levels, ensuring timely deliveries to customers, and maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Scheduling: Develop and coordinate operational schedules to meet production and quality standards. Ensure that production schedules align with customer requirements while achieving inventory goals and maximizing efficiency.
Maintain and enhance Production spreadsheets to support scheduling and purchasing tasks.
Generate daily and monthly production reports, focusing on improving productivity and efficiency.
Assist in creating policies and procedures to uphold quality and cost control standards.
Oversee inventory management and analyze requirements to develop strategies for optimal delivery times and fill rates.
Keep accurate records and prepare necessary reports.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, customer service, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that operational requirements are fulfilled.
Implement lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain, materials management, and logistics.
Buying:
Analyze and forecast material requirements to determine the necessary quantities and delivery dates for optimal inventory management.
Coordinate timely delivery of all materials and supplies essential for production schedules.
Expedite material orders and act as a liaison between suppliers and users.
Maintain appropriate records and prepare reports.
