Summary: The Production Scheduler is pivotal in executing and maintaining the integrity of the master production schedule. This role involves ensuring the timely completion and receipt of planning, tooling, materials, details, and sub-assemblies for multiple cost centers. The Production Scheduler initiates investigations and collaborates with key personnel to resolve issues that may affect scheduled shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Release all assemblies, sub-assemblies, and shop orders to the production floor.
- Review the production plan and take appropriate action, including rescheduling assembly orders when shortages occur.
- Collaborate with all supporting departments (Contracts, Quality, Purchasing) to fulfill customer commitments and address order scheduling challenges.
- Propose and secure authorization for recovery plans on delayed orders when standard lead times do not meet customer demands.
- Coordinate shipping and manufacturing plans with the production supervisor.
- Manage and verify inventory levels to meet master schedule requirements.
- Monitor stock levels to avert shortages or excess inventory.
- Regularly review and maintain MRP data integrity.
- Oversee scheduling and timeliness of the production process.
- Work closely with various teams to efficiently achieve production goals.
- Monitor and report on production progress against plans, updating as necessary.
- Assist with demand forecasting and maintain the monthly Build Plan.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, adhering to all Senior policies and procedures.
