About the Role
As a Production Supervisor at Skydio, you will oversee an entire assembly and testing line dedicated to manufacturing the most sophisticated autonomous drones available. You will lead a team of up to 45 skilled technicians and leads, collaborating closely with the Planning Team to establish production schedules, the Engineering team for troubleshooting and support, and the Inventory Control team to ensure that the necessary materials are in place to achieve production targets. This leadership role focuses on nurturing teamwork and accountability in a dynamic, high-quality production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Align capacity with demand plans to meet production goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Recruit and supervise assembly technicians.
Ensure compliance with established processes, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality assurance, testing, and defect reporting.
Cultivate an environment focused on continuous learning and problem-solving.
Escalate issues to relevant teams in quality assurance, supply chain, hardware, and software design as necessary.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience with electromechanical assembly and digital testing platforms.
Proficient in various software solutions (e.g., Jira, NetSuite, Slack) for work orders, production control, inventory management, and communication.
Highly organized with exceptional communication skills.
Capable of managing both short-term and long-term projects simultaneously.
Meticulous attention to detail, prioritizing quality and efficiency over sheer volume.
