Qualifications
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the technical lead and primary design point of contact for the Development and Construction teams, facilitating the advancement of utility-scale PV, PV+Storage, and standalone energy storage projects.Oversee and manage all resources, both internal and external, to ensure the completion of final site due diligence required to finalize the project scope, costs, schedule, energy output, and associated risks.Review engineering deliverables to ensure alignment with contractual, cost, and performance criteria for customers and financing partners.Conduct analyses to optimize site layouts, engineering designs, and equipment selection to enhance performance and minimize lifecycle costs.Direct the efforts of designers, consultants, and contractors, while managing meetings and communications to promote effective resource use, meet deliverable deadlines, minimize delays, and resolve conflicts.Draft, edit, and review technical scope of work documents, specifications, procedures, site reports, progress reports, feasibility studies, and proposals.

As a Project Engineer reporting to the Manager of Project Engineering, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the comprehensive review, coordination, and approval processes for detailed design packages associated with Clearway Energy Group’s extensive portfolio of solar and energy storage projects across the United States. This position is part of the Engineering & Strategic Procurement department, where you will collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to deliver optimized designs, engage in the negotiation and execution of essential contract documents, and support construction and commissioning efforts through thorough review and approval of commissioning test reports. You will liaise with various internal departments including Origination, Development, Development Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Project Finance, and O&M, as well as work closely with EPC contractors, Independent Engineers, financing parties, and other stakeholders as necessary.
This is a hybrid role based in one of our office locations in San Francisco, San Diego, Scottsdale, Houston, or Denver.
