Position Summary:
We are in search of an experienced Project Manager specializing in forensic engineering or architecture to oversee and assist with a range of investigative projects. This role includes evaluating structural and building envelope conditions, conducting damage and deterioration investigations, and designing repair and rehabilitation strategies for existing facilities. Projects will encompass commercial, residential, industrial, utility infrastructure, and municipal sectors.
This role demands strong technical proficiency, outstanding communication capabilities, and the ability to juggle multiple projects while engaging directly with clients and staff. Frequent local travel and occasional regional travel will be necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough investigations and assessments, preparing detailed technical reports and repair documentation under the supervision of senior staff.
Manage several projects concurrently and assist with project scheduling and coordination.
Aid in developing repair designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
Support senior staff with technical research, report composition, and project execution.
Mentor and guide Staff Engineers and Interns as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to climb ladders and scaffolding, access crawl spaces, navigate roofs, and work from heights.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in forensic engineering or architecture.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
