Job Title: Provider Relations Specialist I (Professional Anesthesia Provider Relations)
Job Description: The Provider Relations Specialist I is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and physician anesthesiologists at Valley Regional Anesthesia Associates (VRAA) and its affiliated sites, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), and dental clinics. This position collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to ensure a premier provider experience that meets both provider expectations and facility demands while upholding VRAA's commitment to stability and excellence. The Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing provider engagement and retention by proactively addressing needs, coordinating with recruitment, credentialing, and scheduling teams, and ensuring accurate CRM data management. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of anesthesia practice environments and demonstrate sound judgment and follow-through in a dynamic, multi-state setting.
Responsibilities:
• Design and execute both short-term and long-term communication strategies for providers that align with organizational growth, new site launches, and service line needs.
• Act as the primary contact for CRNAs and anesthesiologists, delivering a consistent high-touch experience across all interactions.
• Collaborate with Practice Managers, leadership, and stakeholders to anticipate staffing and coverage requirements for new contracts, expansions, and succession planning.
• Stay abreast of anesthesia market trends, including provider supply, compensation, credentialing timelines, and workforce availability; relay insights to leadership.
• Align provider preferences with facility needs by coordinating aspects such as location flexibility, scheduling preferences, and call interest.
• Communicate clearly the role expectations to reinforce VRAA’s stability-focused model, supporting retention and minimizing friction.
• Maintain accurate provider records and communications in HubSpot (or other CRM) to track activities, notes, and status updates.
• Monitor and report on provider satisfaction metrics, document recurring themes, and recommend enhancements.
• Represent VRAA professionally at provider interactions and industry conferences or networking events to elevate brand awareness and engagement.
• Address and resolve operational issues by coordinating with recruiting, credentialing, scheduling, and practice management teams and escalate risks as necessary.
Qualifications:
• Required: Proven experience in supporting communication with U.S.-based healthcare providers in a professional setting.
• Preferred: Familiarity with anesthesia providers (CRNAs or anesthesiologists) or perioperative services.
• Strong comprehension of anesthesia practice environments along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
