Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced QA/QC Engineer with a specialization in Rotating Equipment to join our team for an upcoming shutdown/turnaround project. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all quality assurance and quality control measures for rotating equipment adhere to SABIC standards, project specifications, and international quality norms. This position requires strong technical skills in rotating machinery, alongside expertise in documentation and inspection protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and oversee QA/QC procedures for rotating equipment during shutdown operations.
Conduct thorough inspections and verifications of rotating machinery, including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, gearboxes, agitators, and motors.
Monitor the dismantling, maintenance, and reassembly processes to ensure adherence to SABIC specifications.
Review and authenticate equipment history, calibration certificates, maintenance records, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
Ensure that precision alignment, bearing replacement, balancing, and vibration tasks meet established quality standards.
Verify clearances, tolerances, and measurements during reassembly and document all critical readings.
Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), recommend corrective actions, and ensure prompt resolution.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, planners, and vendor representatives to ensure readiness for inspection.
Witness functional tests and performance checks prior to mechanical completion.
Maintain proper documentation, including inspection reports, punch lists, QA/QC dossiers, and final handover files.
Participate in daily coordination meetings and provide updates regarding quality status and inspection progress.
Adhere to SABIC safety and quality guidelines throughout all activities concerning rotating equipment.
