The Quality Assurance Technician plays a crucial role in upholding the quality and safety of products throughout the production process. This position involves thorough analysis and testing of products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Regular inspections of products, facilities, employees, and equipment are required to meet both quality and food safety regulations. Finished products will be sampled to verify alignment with customer specifications.
Key responsibilities include conducting metal detector checks, blade inspections, and promptly reporting any discrepancies or violations to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, along with proposed solutions.
All required documentation, including quality, food safety, and testing forms, must be completed accurately and transparently. Collaboration with other departments is essential to implement procedural adjustments related to raw materials and finished goods to swiftly address any non-compliance.
The role requires conducting pre-operational and operational sanitation inspections, with the expectation of maintaining accurate records of Quality and Food Safety, Critical Control Points (CCP), and sanitation paperwork to prevent any food safety deviations. GMP and sanitation audits will be conducted as needed, with documented corrective actions and follow-up.
Maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and scorecards is essential for driving continuous improvement, while advocating for a strong commitment to safety in all operational processes.
