About the job
Are you eager to contribute to a more resilient and secure transportation infrastructure? At Rambøll, we strive every day to develop solutions that support a sustainable future. As a member of our Rail Safety team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the railway infrastructure of tomorrow and helping to maintain rail transport as a safe and accessible mode of transportation for everyone. We are experiencing rapid growth and need a consultant to assist us with the approval processes for smaller projects and tasks, both domestically and internationally.
No prior experience in railway safety is required, but a willingness to learn and curiosity about the field are essential. We offer a mentoring program that provides training, support, and guidance within the profession, ensuring you feel confident in your role and can maximize your qualifications.
You will join our Rail Safety department, which consists of 17 skilled colleagues. The department is located at Rambøll's headquarters in Ørestad and in Odense. We collaborate closely with railway experts from our other Rambøll offices in Germany, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, giving you a broad network and the opportunity to expand your international connections.
As a Rail Safety Consultant, you will:
- Be involved in approval processes for rail projects under CSM_RA.
- Gain experience in authority approvals, safety management, functional safety, and interoperability – TSI: CCS, INF, ENE, SRT, PRM, OPE.
- Work on cybersecurity across various projects.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues both locally and internationally.
To thrive in this role, it is advantageous to have a general curiosity about railways, as well as specific interest in CSM-RA and railway safety. You should possess resilience and strong communication skills, as you will interact with various stakeholders at all project stages. Therefore, being proactive in your working relationships is also important.
We work on numerous projects both in Denmark and abroad, so fluency in both Danish and English, both written and spoken, is required.
Being responsible, structured, and goal-oriented is beneficial, as we often manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines. A solution-oriented, collaborative, and positive approach to your projects, clients, and colleagues is essential.
This role could be your first step towards becoming a specialist in safety management, functional safety, or cybersecurity within the railway sector.
