Position Summary:
The Reconditioning Manager plays a pivotal role in our Inspection Center, supervising a dynamic team responsible for daily operations. You will lead all facets of the vehicle reconditioning process, guiding at least five leads and up to 70 frontline associates within a lean manufacturing setting. This position is crucial for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high employee engagement, while achieving quality, production, and cost goals.
This role does not qualify for visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
- Mentor and hold accountable your direct reports while planning for succession through effective coaching and performance management.
- Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, policies, and performance metrics.
- Create a positive team environment that promotes effective communication and aligns with Carvana's core values.
- Recruit, select, orient, and train new employees to maintain a strong supervisory team.
- Implement training and certification processes to ensure consistent employee development.
- Provide training and feedback to leads and associates based on competency.
- Support production planning to maintain adequate capacity levels for all lines.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and loss prevention guidelines.
