Position Overview: Regulatory Counsel - China
The Regulatory Counsel for China will play a pivotal role in delivering expert legal advice and strategic guidance on critical regulatory issues affecting Payoneer’s licensed payment service subsidiary in China (PRC PSP) and the wider Payoneer operations within the region. This position is based in either Shanghai or Guangzhou and will report to the Senior Regulatory Counsel located in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal support to the PRC PSP and Payoneer in navigating complex regulatory challenges in the payments and financial services sectors in China.
- Collaborate with the China Compliance team to foster strong relationships with key regulatory bodies such as the PBOC and SAFE.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on rapidly changing regulations across multiple markets, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives of PRC PSP and Payoneer.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed to provide robust legal strategies.
- Assist cross-functional teams, including business and marketing, in developing new services while promoting interdepartmental collaboration.
- Support senior legal leadership in shaping the regulatory and public policy strategies for PRC PSP and Payoneer.
