Remote Opportunity for Talented Assistant Accountant
We are in search of skilled candidates located in the Philippines for a dynamic role as an Assistant Accountant. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a well-established Australian client in the commercial services sector.
Compensation: Competitive monthly salary ranging from $1,200 AUD to $1,500 AUD.
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor Agreement, allowing you the flexibility to manage your own schedule while aligning with Australian business hours (approximately 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday).

Job Overview: As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the complete accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Your responsibilities will include ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions, supporting cash flow management, and collaborating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end payments to suppliers and clients, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Manage supplier invoices, including coding, entry, and payments.
- Respond to AP and AR queries and manage inboxes accordingly.
- Generate sales invoices based on project milestones.
- Accurately allocate customer payments to ledgers and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of supplier statements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies within AP, AR, and purchase order systems.
Payroll & Compliance:
- Accurately process monthly payroll and prepare tax returns for relevant states.
- Ensure compliance with BAS, superannuation, and payroll tax obligations.
Financial Reporting:
- Maintain the general ledger, conduct balance sheet reconciliations, and assist in financial reporting.
