Description:
The Remote Authorization and Billing Coordinator will oversee the prompt billing and resolution of claims, emphasizing the authorization process. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for acquiring authorizations, reporting on authorization statuses, resolving claims denials related to authorizations, and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
Authorization:
The Authorization Coordinator will manage the insurance approval process for hospice services, ensuring that all levels of care, including initial admissions and ongoing services, receive timely approvals from payers to avert denials. This involves verifying benefits, submitting clinical documentation for authorization, and maintaining communication with insurers to ensure compliance with Medicaid and private payer regulations.
