Stream Realty Partners is seeking a dedicated Property Accountant to join our team in a fully remote capacity. You will gain hands-on experience with full-cycle general ledger accounting, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement completion for your designated portfolio. Your responsibilities will include thorough reviews of monthly financial statements, general ledger oversight, and daily transaction accuracy assurance in alignment with internal and external policies. Furthermore, you will collaborate with the Property Management team to assist in the preparation of Annual Budgets and Reconciliations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver internal and external reporting of property financial outcomes.
- Compile internal and external reporting packages, collaborating with property management to analyze financial performance and develop comprehensive reports.
- Support the budgeting process and prepare expense reconciliations through detailed data reviews.
- Generate recurring and ad hoc analyses and reports as required.
- Exemplify outstanding customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly financial statement packages, including in-depth reviews of general ledger and income statement, bank statement reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entry postings.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external deadlines.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with property management teams.
- Engage with clients on both basic and complex issues, with guidance from managers for more advanced challenges.
- Prepare and submit Sales & Use Tax returns as applicable.
- Manage cash flow for projects, ensuring timely payments for utilities, taxes, mortgages, and owner distributions.
- Review and process vendor invoices.
- Assist management with the transition of project assignments.
- Ensure compliance with SOC I requirements for yourself and the property management team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
