About the job
About Us
At Parity, we are pioneers in developing the foundational infrastructure of blockchain technology, enabling secure sharing of information and value without intermediaries. Our vision is to create a web that honors individual freedom and data privacy while empowering developers to construct trustworthy online services.
As a remote-first organization, our global team contributes to open-source software projects, including Polkadot, Polkadot SDK, and Kusama, which are integral components of the emerging Web3 technology stack. Our mission is to cultivate the most dynamic and innovative community in blockchain, driving a new era of interconnected and decentralized applications.
About the Team
Our Security Engineering team plays a vital role in safeguarding the Polkadot ecosystem by designing and implementing secure software, conducting thorough audits for vulnerabilities, and developing advanced machine learning tools to automate security analysis. We collaborate closely with development teams to integrate security best practices throughout our open-source infrastructure, ensuring that our blockchain systems are inherently robust, resilient, and secure.
About the Role
In this security-focused software engineering role, you will transcend traditional application security by auditing and, when necessary, crafting secure Rust code. Your responsibilities will include performing in-depth manual and automated code assessments, utilizing machine learning to bolster security measures across our ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to influence the security framework of next-generation decentralized applications and protocols.
Develop Secure Software – Write and optimize Rust code to create security-critical components and tools.
Code Auditing & Vulnerability Analysis – Execute comprehensive manual and automated code reviews to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
ML-Powered Security – Design and implement machine learning models for automated security analysis, anomaly detection, and threat mitigation.
Bug Bounty & Vulnerability Management – Oversee bug bounty submissions, triage security reports, and collaborate with ethical hackers to resolve identified issues.
Secure Development Best Practices – Partner with engineering teams to promote and establish secure development methodologies.
