The Rental Service Agent plays a vital dual role:
- Championing customer experience for rentals
- Acting as a sales specialist for RV demonstrations and conversions
This position is key to ensuring customer satisfaction, whether they are starting a rental journey or contemplating their future RV purchase.
THE ROLE
The Rental Service Agent is responsible for executing all customer-facing rental operations and conducting professional RV sales demonstrations to convert leads into buyers. This hands-on, customer-centric role combines service, product presentation, operational execution, and follow-up sales management. Across both rentals and sales, this position ensures that every vehicle, interaction, and customer moment aligns with Indie Campers' high standards.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Customer Service & Operations: Conduct check-ins/check-outs, briefings, and provide ongoing rental support. Handle service recovery and emergencies with empathy.
- Sales Demonstrations & Customer Engagement: Prepare and perform RV demos, showcasing features, specifications, and addressing customer-specific needs. Ensure smooth handovers and that all documentation is completed.
- Sales Conversion & Lead Management: Track leads, demos, and follow-ups in the CRM system. Convert rental customers into sales opportunities, supporting the RV Sales District and City Lead to achieve targets.
- Product Knowledge & Technical Support: Stay informed about Indie Campers RV models and perform basic system demonstrations (lighting, gas, etc.). Troubleshoot and escalate issues when necessary.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Must have: 1-3 years of experience in customer service, sales, hospitality, rental, or automotive environments.
- Must have: Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
- Must have: Ability to understand and explain technical RV/vehicle systems.
