Qualifications
ResponsibilitiesAct as the Owner’s professional representative during the construction of water, wastewater, and related infrastructure projects.Supervise daily construction activities, conduct field inspections, and coordinate effectively with inspectors and project team members.Manage construction contracts, including the review of RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, and pay applications.Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) to meet project specifications.Coordinate materials testing, surveying, grade verification, and comprehensive construction documentation.Facilitate construction meetings, coordinate utility services, and engage with regulatory agencies.Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, and contractor performance diligently.Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, labor laws, and safety protocols.Prepare progress reports, regulatory documentation, and project closeout materials.Serve as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, and permitting agencies.Assist in proposal development, mentor staff, and collaborate with regional water resources leadership.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.California Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification preferred.6+ years of experience in construction management or resident engineering for water or wastewater projects.In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local water regulations, including NPDES and publicly funded projects.Demonstrated ability to manage contractor relationships and resolve field issues effectively.
