Position Overview
The Restaurant Manager, reporting to the Area Director, is tasked with upholding and promoting the Del Taco brand while driving sales and enhancing the restaurant's efficiency and profitability through effective leadership and adherence to the Del Taco Way.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full staffing with qualified personnel.
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and retention of all restaurant staff.
- Maintain team certification in accordance with the current training protocols.
- Cultivate a service-oriented atmosphere.
- Encourage a fun and collaborative work environment.
- Assess employee performance and recommend salary adjustments.
- Administer disciplinary actions, including suspension or termination, as necessary.
- Foster the development of team members and potential future managers.
Delivering the Del Taco Brand:
- Consistently execute Del Taco standards and processes at all times.
- Ensure the restaurant and customer areas are well-maintained.
- Keep all equipment compliant with operational and safety standards.
- Deliver quality products in line with Del Taco standards at all times.
- Follow cleaning schedules and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Ensure employees are in appropriate uniforms.
- Provide a consistent customer service experience.
- Ensure promotional materials and signage are displayed in approved locations.
Sales and Customer Engagement:
- Define and communicate sales targets (daily, weekly, year-over-year).
- Place the right personnel in the right roles based on sales projections and actual sales.
- Boost customer count and average check value, maximizing customer capacity and satisfaction.
- Identify and implement local marketing initiatives to draw in new customers.
- Stay informed about local events and understand the competitive landscape.
- Execute service standards and maintain operational speed.
- Effectively carry out marketing promotions and campaigns.
Achieving Profitability Goals:
- Manage staffing levels in accordance with actual sales.
- Comply with all labor regulations.
- Accurately order and manage inventory to minimize waste and prevent theft.
