Position Overview
The Retail Support Specialist (RSS) provides essential, hands-on support to AT&T customers within bustling national retail environments. You will interact directly with customers and retail partners to address account, billing, device, and service inquiries, often in high-pressure, fast-paced scenarios. To thrive in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, emotional resilience, and comfort with technology, maintaining composure and professionalism in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Support
- Deliver professional, friendly, and solution-oriented support to AT&T customers in national retail locations.
- Resolve inquiries related to billing, account updates, plan changes, device support, and service issues.
- Troubleshoot wireless devices, network challenges, and functionality features.
- Effectively operate in high-volume retail scenarios, ensuring focus, professionalism, and quality service during peak traffic and escalated situations.
Retail Partner Support
- Serve as the AT&T subject-matter expert for retail employees and third-party labor partners.
- Act as the primary AT&T representative for retail partners, leading in-store support for escalated issues.
- Proactively collaborate with store leadership to address customer concerns, enhancing partnership alignment and delivering a premier customer experience.
Work Environment & Schedule Expectations
- This role is conducted in a retail environment, requiring standing, walking, and engagement on the sales floor for up to 8 hours daily.
- Must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed by the business.
- Comfortable working in busy, customer-facing environments with frequent interactions and problem-solving demands.
Operational Excellence
- Simultaneously navigate multiple systems while engaging with customers in real time.
- Thoroughly document all interactions accurately.
- Comply with company policies, compliance guidelines, and privacy standards.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics, including quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction scores.
- Execute and uphold approved planograms for mobile devices and signage.
Salary: $26 per hour
