Position Purpose
The Revenue Management Analyst will support the tactical execution and analysis of Revenue Management strategies aimed at maximizing revenue and profitability for our resort hotels. This involves optimizing pricing, availability, and inventory on a daily basis across various channels and segments. The role requires ensuring data integrity and providing actionable insights for commercial decisions including pricing, restrictions, promotions, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Monitoring (OTB/Pick-up): Track occupancy rates, ADR, RevPAR, channel mix, and segment performance against budget, last year, and forecasts.
- Pricing and Restrictions: Manage the loading and maintenance of rates (BAR, packages, corporate/negotiated rates), and oversee MLOS/CTA/CTD policies, as well as controlled overbooking per the defined RM strategy.
- Forecasting: Develop and update forecasts by day/segment/channel (weekly and monthly) while analyzing variations and providing recommendations.
- Rate Shopping & Competition: Analyze STR/Rate Shopper data to identify pricing opportunities, parity, and competitive positioning (RGI/ARI/MPI).
- Parity and Availability: Conduct periodic audits of parity/availability on OTAs and direct channels; manage incidents with e-commerce/CM.
- Promotions and Resort Packages: Assist in the design and performance evaluation of packages, upsell/cross-sell strategies, and sales windows.
- Groups and MICE: Support displacement analysis, wash factors, and provide recommendations on rates/restrictions to secure profitable business.
- Distribution Channels and Goals: Monitor channel quotas, distribution costs, and implement actions to boost direct sales.
- Data Quality: Clean and map segments, room types, market codes, and rate codes in PMS/CRS/RMS; set alerts for data gaps.
- Executive Reporting: Prepare materials for the Weekly Revenue Meeting, dashboards, and executive summaries for management.
- Event Calendar and Demand: Maintain records of events/peak dates, seasonality, and booking window patterns by market.
- Adherence to Brand Standards: Ensure compliance with brand standards and internal policies (nomenclature, approvals, discount levels, etc.).
