Join our dynamic team as an experienced RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in a pivotal charge-level leadership role within a high-acuity Ortho/Neuro Trauma medical-surgical unit. This position uniquely combines direct patient care with essential leadership duties, ensuring optimal staffing levels, clinical excellence, and seamless care coordination.
As a candidate, you should thrive in a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and be a proactive, visible clinical leader during night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate unit operations during your assigned shifts.
- Demonstrate charge nurse leadership while managing a patient assignment.
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care along with efficient throughput.
- Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize patient flow.
- Act as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.
- Assist in staff scheduling and daily labor management.
- Engage in quality improvement, patient safety, and service recovery initiatives.
- Support onboarding, training, and performance management of nursing staff.
- Ensure adherence to clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Assist with supply management and inventory control.
