About the Role
In this role, you will operate advanced roofing roll formers, flashing folders, and various sheetmetal machinery to produce roofing materials and accessories. You will also assist with general factory and warehouse tasks. The position offers a commitment of 47 hours per week, from Monday to Thursday (7 AM - 5 PM) and Friday (7 AM - 4 PM).
Your Responsibilities
- Manufacture roofing materials and accessories according to specified standards.
- Effectively operate roofing roll formers, flashing folders, and other sheetmetal equipment.
- Interpret and follow job sheets, production instructions, and measurements accurately.
- Measure, cut, fold, and process materials with precision.
- Assist with loading delivery vehicles when needed.
- Complete basic administrative and production documentation as necessary.
- Perform general factory and warehouse duties, including maintaining cleanliness and equipment upkeep.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or factory experience.
- Experience in machine operation.
- Ability to read and interpret job sheets and measurements.
- Proficient in measuring, cutting, folding, and processing materials.
- Forklift or gantry crane experience is advantageous.
- A valid full New Zealand driver’s license is required.
