The Safety, Health, and Environment (SH&E) Specialist plays a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a culture of safety within the workplace. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities including: 1) ensuring that all work conditions and practices comply with applicable SH&E regulations and company policies; 2) leading thorough incident investigations and performing root cause analyses, followed by actionable recommendations for enhancements to programs, policies, procedures, and training; 3) collaborating with site management and personnel to identify, mitigate, and control occupational hazards and environmental risks; 4) assisting in the monitoring of programs to ensure all activities align with established safety requirements; 5) conducting documented safety and environmental audits, providing recommendations for necessary corrective actions; 6) preparing regulatory reports and coordinating stack testing schedules; 7) actively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement; and 8) fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies. This role reports directly to the SH&E Manager and collaborates with various levels of staff at the Pryor and Marshall sites to ensure cohesive coordination across departments to meet site SH&E objectives.
