- Champion and exemplify positive SHE behaviors that align with Rentokil Initial’s core values and ethics.
- Highlight and advocate for the commercial advantages of effective SHE management, equipping the business to stand out in the marketplace while meeting customer SHE expectations.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of SHE regulations, internal policies, industry best practices, and the specific activities of the business unit.
- Secure and allocate financial resources for SHE initiatives and plans.
- Design, implement, and sustain robust SHE management systems to ensure adherence to SHE regulations, group policies, and any applicable requirements.
- Establish approved risk assessment protocols to identify, evaluate, and mitigate both general and site-specific risks.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive SHE risk register that outlines significant risks associated with business operations and the necessary controls to manage these risks effectively.
- Develop and enforce standardized safe working procedures based on the outcomes of risk assessments for both routine and non-routine tasks.
- Implement efficient contractor management processes.
- Evaluate SHE requirements for proposals and contracts, ensuring the provision of relevant SHE information.
- Integrate SHE management systems during mergers and acquisitions within the business unit.
- Assess and manage changes that could adversely affect the effectiveness of SHE management, ensuring that associated risks remain within acceptable limits.
- Design and deliver SHE training programs to equip employees with the essential knowledge and skills to perform their tasks safely and sustainably.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and consultation channels regarding SHE matters.
- Engage effectively with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders to promote SHE initiatives.
- Celebrate SHE achievements through regular communication, reports, meetings, and conference calls.
