Join our dynamic team as a Sales Specialist focused on the vibrant China market, based in the bustling city of Hong Kong. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key liaison to our institutional clients and play an integral part in shaping our strategic approach for the region.
Your deep expertise in the China market will be invaluable as you collaborate with colleagues across Jane Street to enhance our client coverage and service offerings. You'll leverage your knowledge to identify prospective institutional clients and effectively communicate our comprehensive range of services and products.
This position emphasizes relationship-building and client engagement. You will be expected to travel for client meetings, directly consult with clients and prospects on their investment objectives and trading styles, and represent our firm to various external partners.
We seek an individual with a solid background in sales or sales trading, particularly within the capital markets, and an understanding of financial products such as ETFs, Equities, or Fixed Income. Your ability to quickly grasp our business complexities will be essential as you cross-sell to institutional clients when opportunities arise.
Working closely with our Institutional team, you will also engage with our Trading team and collaborate with departments such as Marketing, Strategy, and Technology to provide feedback and enhance Jane Street’s offerings to our APAC client base.
About You
- 10+ years of relevant experience in sales or sales trading within capital markets focused on institutions.
- In-depth understanding of the complexities of the Chinese market.
- Familiarity with ETFs and/or bonds is advantageous.
- Highly organized and professional with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Strategic thinker who can translate ideas into actionable plans while managing competing priorities.
- Proactive, reliable, and courteous with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and native Mandarin Chinese is required.
