Sales Team Leader – Medium Merchants | Field Sales
About the Team
The SumUp Field Sales team in Chile is undergoing a strategic transformation. We have demonstrated our ability to organically capture larger businesses, and now we aim to establish a dedicated model to systematically do so. This role exists to lead that effort from the ground up, validating a consultative sales methodology focused on businesses with monthly TPV exceeding $60 million pesos—a high-value segment currently without a dedicated commercial model. Your Responsibilities
- Lead and develop an initial team of 2-3 sales executives specializing in the medium merchant segment.
- Design and implement a consultative sales methodology tailored to commercial cycles of 30 to 60 days, prioritizing closure quality and profitability.
- Manage the pipeline diligently in CRM, ensuring visibility, opportunity tracking, and structured funnel management.
- Validate the commercial model for the Medium Merchant segment, generating key learnings for future channel scaling.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers in medium-sized companies.
You Are Ideal for This Role If
- You have solid experience in consultative B2B sales focused on medium and large accounts, including management of high-value portfolios.
- You have a proven track record in forming and developing sales teams, ideally in construction or pilot stages.
- You possess the ability to negotiate with senior executives and manage complex sales processes with longer cycles.
