AbbVie is on the lookout for an experienced Salesforce Platform Engineer who will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and enhancing software solutions that drive essential commercial business goals. This position requires a proactive approach to continuously refine existing processes and methods, leveraging industry insights and Salesforce documentation to inform solution architecture. The ideal candidate will exhibit expertise in various information technology engineering disciplines, including software development, data management, statistical analysis, machine learning, and technology infrastructure (covering servers, storage, network connectivity, and cloud environments).
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, design, implement, and deploy Salesforce technology solutions utilizing Point-and-Click features, Apex, Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and REST/SOAP integrations.
- Utilize analytical problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
- Conduct design reviews and code evaluations, identify gaps in system processes, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Create design models and establish best practices for team members and vendors.
- Review Salesforce Release Notes to identify new features for potential integration into existing systems.
- Conduct Proof of Concepts (POC) for new features and document findings, including business use cases, cost estimates, and execution plans.
- Work autonomously with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of productivity.
- Draft technical specifications and design documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff and vendors.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Application Architects on new projects while maintaining effective relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Adhere to corporate standards, including compliance with corporate policies, safety regulations, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
