What does the Sanitation Facilities Manager do?
In this role, you will be tasked with the inspection, assessment, and documentation of cleanliness, functionality, and safety standards of restroom and shower facilities at designated locations. Your leadership will ensure that our facilities comply with health regulations, company standards, and provide a clean and comfortable environment for all users.
A typical day for the Sanitation Facilities Manager includes:
- Providing leadership and oversight to sanitation facilities crew members.
- Assisting in training cleaning staff on sanitation protocols and facility standards.
- Conducting routine inspections of restrooms and shower facilities.
- Monitoring cleanliness, supplies (soap, toilet paper, towels), sanitation practices, and overall maintenance.
- Identifying and reporting issues such as plumbing leaks, broken fixtures, mold, odors, and unsafe conditions.
- Documenting inspection findings and completing checklists or digital inspection reports.
- Coordinating with janitorial and maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of any identified issues.
- Ensuring compliance with local health and safety codes, ADA requirements, and internal company standards.
- Communicating professionally with staff, contractors, and management about facility conditions and necessary improvements.
- Monitoring trends in facility conditions and reporting recurring problems.
- Responding to complaints related to cleanliness or safety of the facilities.
