AECOM is on the lookout for a dynamic Schematic Project Manager dedicated to Surface Transportation in Texas. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing our Transportation Business Line. As a key representative for our clients, your focus will be on steering the successful execution of intricate highway and roadway projects from initial schematic phases all the way through to final design. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in schematic development along with a solid grasp of pertinent regulatory processes, standards, and expectations.
You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams, cultivate trusted relationships with clients, and guarantee the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions for surface transportation infrastructure across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, management, and execution of surface transportation projects, primarily concentrating on schematic development for highways and roadways.
Act as the primary liaison for clients, regularly engaging to comprehend their needs, manage expectations, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee multidisciplinary internal teams, including roadway, traffic, drainage, environmental, and structures, to provide coordinated and technically proficient design solutions.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and client specifications.
Guide the formulation of schematic design alternatives, alignment studies, preliminary layouts, and corridor level analyses.
Assist in producing technical documents, reports, presentations, and other project deliverables.
Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies while fostering a collaborative, innovative, and proactive problem-solving culture.
Contribute to business development efforts, encompassing client relationship management, proposal creation, and pursuit strategies.
