Who We Want:
We are seeking an individual responsible for operating and overseeing up to 800 Ton Secondary stamping presses, ensuring that quality stampings are produced in accordance with Challenge Manufacturing’s Quality Standards, production orders, and engineering specifications. This role involves activating the press and monitoring stamping runs while performing necessary quality checks, recording information in Plex (the enterprise resource planning system), and executing general utility work to adhere to the work schedule.
Your Responsibilities:
- Fulfill all duties to ensure departmental and plant production targets are met daily and weekly.
- Refer to production orders in Plex to stamp products according to the Job Element Sheet (JES).
- Select and load appropriate blank steel sheets into the stamping press to create quality stampings.
- Engage in frequent lifting/moving, pulling/pushing, and/or positioning of products and materials weighing up to 40 pounds, with heavier items assisted by coworkers, throughout the assigned work area. Press operations require frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, turning, and lifting.
- Determine the appropriate rack or bin for packing parts and/or storing them for the next process.
- Accurately pack parts into the correct pin/storage containers per packaging instructions to fulfill customer specifications. Ensure proper labeling procedures are followed. Utilize a personal computer (PC), Plex system, keyboard, and mouse.
- Complete tasks in the online work center and operate machinery as needed.
