Important Information:
- This position is subject to rigorous background checks; therefore, candidates must have continuously resided in the UK for the past 3 years.
What We Offer:
- Competitive pay starting at £13.22 per hour, increasing to £13.78 upon full training in X-Ray Screening.
- Flexible shift rotation requirement with hours primarily from 04:30 am to 00:00 am.
- 40 hours of work per week available (please refer to the shift pattern below).
- As this is an airport role, flexibility to work on weekends and bank holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage access to restricted areas of the airport.
- Conduct ID and boarding card inspections for staff and passengers.
- Prepare individuals for security screenings.
- Perform thorough searches of persons and items entering restricted areas.
- Execute X-ray screening duties for items entering secure zones.
- Respond to on-site incidents according to established procedures.
- Conduct patrols in assigned areas as needed.
- Comply with Civil Aviation Authority regulations and familiarize yourself with Belfast City Airport's local procedures.
- Complete all required security training in alignment with CAA standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Shifts:
The airport operates 7 days a week, and candidates must demonstrate flexibility in their availability. Shift patterns are subject to change.
Example of a potential shift pattern: 3 days on, 3 days off, followed by 3 days on and 1 day off, then 4 days on and 2 days off over a 21-day cycle. Availability for shifts starting at 04:30 am and ending at 22:00 or midnight is required.
