Please note: This role requires continuous residency in the UK for the last 3 years due to enhanced background checks.
What’s on offer:
- Competitive pay starting at £13.22 per hour, increasing to £13.78 per hour post-training in X-Ray Screening.
- Shifts will be on a rotation basis, requiring flexibility for early starts and late finishes.
- Shift timings: Earliest start at 04:30 am and latest finish at 00:00 am.
- Available hours: Up to 40 hours per week (please refer to the shift pattern and timings listed below).
- Flexibility is required as this role operates in an airport environment, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Free staff car parking is provided.
- Immediate start dates are available.
Key Duties:
- Control access to restricted airport areas.
- Conduct ID and boarding card checks for staff and passengers.
- Prepare individuals for security screening.
- Perform physical searches of persons and items entering restricted areas.
- Conduct x-ray examinations of all items entering restricted zones.
- Respond to on-site incidents according to established procedures.
- Perform escort duties as needed.
- Carry out patrols in designated areas.
- Adhere to Civil Aviation Authority regulations and understand local airport procedures.
- Complete mandatory Security Training in line with CAA standards.
- Achieve and maintain competency through performance assessments.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts for personal and business success.
Shifts:
Our airport operates 7 days a week, and candidates must be flexible regarding workdays and hours. Please note this may be subject to change!
- Example of a 40-hour work week: 3 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 1 day off, 4 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on over a 21-day period. Flexibility is required for shifts starting at 04:30 to 13:30 and from 13:30 to 22:00 or 00:00.
