Established in 1978 by Gavin de Becker, a three-time Presidential appointee, our team of Protectors, Analysts, and Investigators work tirelessly to protect human life by assessing, predicting, and managing potential threats of violence.

As a newly hired Protector in Menlo Park/Palo Alto, you will earn a minimum of $90,000 in base salary during your first year at GDBA. With relevant experience and outstanding performance in our Training Academy, your first-year earnings could reach up to $110,000.
Your Responsibilities as a Protector:
- Monitor properties using advanced tools and technology from the GDBA Command Center.
- Screen visitors and vendors while controlling access to secured sites.
- Develop and implement security plans, responding effectively to any medical emergencies.
- Provide physical protection and logistical support at clients' residences and during their travels.
- Ensure secure transportation for clients as necessary.
- Conduct thorough surveys and prepare locations prior to clients' arrivals.
- Document any suspicious activities in detail.
- Maintain readiness to address any potential threats.
Who You Are:
While military, law enforcement, or executive protection/security experience is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite to becoming a GDBA Protector. We prioritize your character and communication skills. Our most successful Protectors come from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating physical fitness, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively.
