Position: Senior Account Executive - Finance & Commerce Verticals
Reporting directly to the Country Manager in Japan, the Senior Account Executive will spearhead initiatives to drive Fastly's growth within targeted markets, with a primary focus on the Commerce and Finance sectors across Japan.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust network in the Cloud sector, coupled with a strong technical sales background in security solutions. This role requires a strategic mindset and business acumen to effectively engage and close significant deals at the CTO, CISO, CIO, CFO, and CEO levels.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and execute a Go-To-Market strategy to ensure Fastly achieves its growth objectives within the assigned vertical in the region.
Take responsibility for driving pipeline development, sales, and revenue generation, consistently meeting or exceeding quota goals.
Lead all phases of the sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure, including discovery, Proof of Concepts, value proposition positioning, and account management.
Collaborate closely with a Sales Engineer to guide prospective clients through product demonstrations and trial periods.
Gain a deep technical understanding of Fastly's solutions, the challenges they address for clients, and their relevance within the broader Edge Computing, Security, and DevOps ecosystems.
Work in partnership with the account management team to enhance customer adoption and satisfaction.
Engage with key partners across Fastly's business units, including Client Services, Marketing, Product, and Product Marketing.
