Saalex Corporation is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to enhance our Finance and Accounting Team. This pivotal role involves ensuring the precision of financial records, supporting the period-end close process, and guaranteeing adherence to government contracting and DCAA regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint, a robust understanding of cost accounting, and the capability to autonomously navigate complex accounting processes within a regulated framework.
The Senior Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with Finance leadership, Contracts, Payroll, and Project Controls to uphold financial integrity, ensure audit readiness, and deliver timely reporting across diverse contracts and cost structures.

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Work Location: Fully Remote.
Essential Functions:
Core Accounting & Close:
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities in Deltek Costpoint, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring prompt resolution of discrepancies.
- Maintain precise general ledger activities in compliance with GAAP and government accounting standards.
- Assist in financial statement preparation and internal reporting packages.
Deltek Costpoint Administration & Usage:
- Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) for Deltek Costpoint modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, and Labor & Payroll interfaces.
- Review and validate project setups, account structures, organizations, and cost pools.
- Troubleshoot Costpoint-related issues concerning postings, interfaces, and system controls.
- Support system upgrades, patches, testing, and process enhancements.
Government Contracting & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to DCAA, FAR, and CAS requirements as applicable.
- Assist with indirect rate structures (fringe, overhead, G&A) and cost pool maintenance.
- Help with incurred cost submissions, audit requests, and data pulls.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation, schedules, and support files.
Billing, Revenue & Project Support:
- Facilitate contract billing processes (FFP, T&M, Cost-Plus, as applicable).
- Assist in revenue recognition and project cost analysis.
- Monitor project costs for accuracy, allowability, and appropriate classification.
- Collaborate with Contracts and Project Managers to address billing or cost issues.
Process Improvement & Controls:
- Identify opportunities for enhancing accounting processes, internal controls, and Costpoint workflows.
