Senior Application Engineer (West Coast)

The Senior Application Engineer will operate at the intersection of engineering, sales, and customer service. This role is a unique blend of expert problem solver, technology consultant, educator, and business developer. You will work closely with our commercial team to address custom requests, resolve customer challenges, and foster strategic relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop deep technical expertise in Markforged products and applications, as well as the additive manufacturing industry. Use this knowledge to generate innovative ideas that enhance printer utilization for our customers and partners.
- Conduct training sessions for customers and resellers.
- Provide tailored sales support and solve unique printing/design challenges.
- Contribute feedback for marketing materials.
- Perform product demonstrations, lead sales presentations, and represent Markforged at trade shows and industrial events.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, engineering, product design).
- Proactively pursue strategic initiatives to drive business growth.
