We are seeking an Automation Engineer eager to drive the development of advanced automation solutions within our projects. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the automation needs of ongoing assignments, occasionally following the entire project process from client concept and sales support to operational plant handover, while also contributing your expertise in specific project segments.
In this role, you will also act as a sub-project leader, responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the automation aspect of our projects. Your work will be done both locally from our Borlänge office and in collaboration with AFRY's broader organization, with a significant portion of our projects focusing on the steel and energy sectors.
Your work weeks will vary; some projects will extend over longer periods, providing continuity in tasks, while other weeks will involve shorter contributions across various projects. You will work closely with our automation team in Borlänge, where collaboration and knowledge exchange are central to our success.
We expect you to take a proactive role in our automation assignments, demonstrating a high level of responsibility and excellent teamwork skills. The position will also involve mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the team's skill development.
