As a Senior Cloud DevOps Network Engineer at Nielsen, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing automated infrastructure and connectivity solutions that underpin our global digital presence. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will design secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures tailored to the needs of Software Engineering, Security, and Cloud Operations. This hands-on role demands expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and a collaborative spirit to bridge traditional networking with modern cloud-native deployments. Stay abreast of advancements in the cloud landscape, while deepening your knowledge in software-defined networking (SDN), CI/CD pipelines, and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Design & Automation: Lead stakeholder needs analysis to craft robust cloud network architectures. Utilize IaC tools (e.g., Terraform) for automating VPCs, subnets, transit gateways, and load balancers.
- Stakeholder Communication: Articulate the network architecture vision and project updates to internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency in network performance, cost-efficiency, and compliance.
- Cloud Service Evaluation: Collaborate with cloud service providers and vendors to assess networking and security tools (e.g., SASE, Firewalls, Service Mesh). Model total cost of ownership (TCO) and ROI while ensuring adherence to security standards and regulations.
- CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Oversee the complete lifecycle of infrastructure deployment. Integrate network security testing and compliance checks into automated CI/CD pipelines to enforce
