Qualifications Required:
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (such as General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security). Up to 18 semester hours of military training in networking, computer science, or cyber topics can substitute for an Associate Degree.
Experience: Relevant experience in computer or information systems design/development, programming, cybersecurity, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance, and/or systems engineering is essential. Experience in network or system administration is also required. Completion of military training in relevant areas such as JCAC (Joint Cyber Analysis Course), UCT (Undergraduate Cyber Training), NWBC (Network Warfare Bridge Course), or Cyber Defense Operations may count towards relevant experience if not credited toward educational requirements.

As a Senior Computer Network Defense Analyst (CNDA), you will:
Leverage data from diverse sources—such as intrusion detection systems, firewalls, network traffic logs, and host system logs—to identify vulnerabilities, respond to cyber incidents, and proactively defend against potential threats.
Assist in creating strategies to enhance network security measures, safeguarding against attacks targeting network infrastructure and systems.
Your responsibilities will cover various data transport methods, including traditional wired networks, wireless communications (Wi-Fi and cellular), and collaborative platforms like video conferencing, along with the supporting hardware and software.
Advance your career by deepening your knowledge of networking protocols, cloud security, Internet of Things (IoT) protocols, and sophisticated network security techniques.
Collaborate with a team comprising government, military, and contractor personnel to establish a mutual understanding of intelligence requirements, mission significance, and specialized knowledge areas.
Utilize your analytical skills to formulate hypotheses, evaluate and select analytical methods, and manipulate data to extract and disseminate insights.
Document, contextualize, and communicate your findings—including any innovative tradecraft you develop—to team members, stakeholders, and intelligence consumers.
