Qualifications
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Content Designer to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be instrumental in simplifying complex information to enhance user understanding and help them achieve their objectives. Previous experience in a public sector context and familiarity with established standards such as the Service Standard is essential.Your key responsibilities will include:Strategically planning, writing, and managing user-friendly and compliant content according to GDS/GOV.UK Content Design guidelines.Creating accurate, timely, and relevant content that is easy to comprehend, optimally structured for search engines, and adheres to established style guidelines.Building and maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicating the rationale behind content decisions.Employing analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challenges and question assumptions.Promoting user-centered design methodologies for digital products and services across the organization.Advocating for accessibility in all digital offerings.Actively participating in the Content Design Community of Practice by sharing insights, best practices, and providing support to colleagues.Ensuring high-quality content standards, mentoring junior content designers, and contributing to their professional development.
